$15 DIY nursery wall.

I’ve gotten so many question and so many compliments about the nursery wall I did that I promised I’d share how I did it. You might be disappointed it was so easy and literally I just threw it up there, but honestly, IF I can do it you can too.IMG_2337Let’s start my saying my expectations were low, and I told myself I had to LOVE it to keep it since I am going to be spending lots of time rocking and staring at that wall.  If I didn’t love it, I would just paint it white again. This is when you glimpse into our life and Brad is downstairs on his hands and knees praying that I did a good job so his painting role was over.IMG_2333It would probably be good to insert here that IF YOU ARE A PERFECTIONIST this would make you crazy probably. I am not. But I wanted the paint strokes to be thick and thin and different textures and when it came together all look like one big piece of art/wallpaper.

I bought my supplies at Joannes. Bought some gold acrylic paint and a pack of brushes.  I knew I needed the fine tip but again, winging it, so I wasn’t sure of my size so I bought an assortment. A girl needs options after all.IMG_2329You could also use a paper plate here, but since I’m a painter now, I went with the real thing. Fancy. The entire supplies were under $15.00 and I could have bought an acrylic tube 1/8th the size of this because the room/wall is tiny, only needed one brush and could have omitted my fancy plastic “I’m at artist now plastic pinwheel” so easy you could do this project for under $10.IMG_2333IMG_2337IMG_2334

I really love how it turned out and I really love that one day I can tell her that her mama painted it just for her.
